Trip Indroduction

Sikles Short Trek is always a good idea for your vacation in Nepal because it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller. Sikles Village Trek is a short trek and a fine example of traditional trekking through the villages on the mountainsides of Nepal. There are nearly thousand households in Sikles, the second largest settlement of the brave people of Gurung ethnicity. The village on the ridge of the hill overlooks vast valley beneath and chains of mountains and towering snow-peaks above. From the village, you can get brilliant views of snow-capped mountains such as the Lamjung Himal, Annapurna III, and Annapurna IV.

The Sikles Short trek had been a secret destination until recently. Thus, the trail to the Skiles village is more raw, traditional and adventurous than other short treks. You might spot wild deer pass by while trekking through the forest trails. Also, there are many other species of flora and fauna around the Sikles village as it is located at the center point of the Annapurna Conservation Area.  After a short hike to the top, there may appear many natural distractions such as unparallel views of the white snow-capped mountain ranges and terraced fields around the stone village that seems out of this world. In the settlements area throughout the trek, you meet very friendly people with unique Gurung and Magar culture in the village. The people of Sikles village follow Buddhism which you can already estimate from the Buddhist shrines, flags and peace wheels decorating the village.

Sikles Village Trekking starts uphill from Pokhara and reaches no more than 2000m in elevation. It is a great destination for beginners at trekking in the mountain regions of Nepal. Sikles village is also considered another best spot to get the panoramic view of Annapurna Region and snow-peaked mountains after Poon hill, which is located in the Annapurna region too. Panchase Short Trek is similar kind of short trek package in Nepal. Himalayan Monk Travels & Treks is glad to operate this short and easy trek for you to make it your life experience in Nepal.

Travel season

The trip is accessible all around the year, but it is reasonable not to travel during the monsoon season of Nepal which falls between June to August. The muddy trails might hamper your trekking and cloudy days are not enjoyable as it hides the essence of the Himalayas. Sikles short trek route is also safe during winter since it does not rise too much high altitude. The winter days are sunny but cold and chilly during nights till dawn. It would be a good season to enjoy the moment alone.

Spring and autumn are the best seasons to trek in Nepal. During these months the weather is clear with greenery surrounding and clean vistas. Spring season (March-May) bring out the vibrant color of Nature. The forest and trail is lively with many types of flora and fauna enjoying the warm season after the harsh winter. Trekking during this season is neither hot nor cold, making it a pleasant and relaxing journey in the countryside environment.
