Trip Indroduction

Royal Trek is always a good idea for your vacation in Nepal because it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller. Royal Trek is named after Prince Charles along with his entourage of 90 people explored through the trail during the early eighties. The trail has also been visited by Mick Zaggar, the vocalist of The Rolling Stones. This trek has been popular since then to get the best experience of the mixed culture and diverse ethnicities of the local areas. It is more of a cultural trek than a scenic one. You can get ample opportunities to interact with the locals and involve yourself in the household chores or even work in the fields. The culture and tradition of the people here have remained intact for hundreds of years in the region. You will get the feeling of returning to the ancient times of Nepal after staying in the villages in this trek.

As most of the trekking routes in the Annapurna region, the Royal trek too lies in Annapurna Region and starts from Lakeside of Pokhara.  The route is suitable for people of all aged-groups. The trail passes through beautiful villages of Gurungs along the terraced fields of crops. Further trekking towards the top of the hill gives you an inspiring view of the mountain ranges such as the Annapurna range, Langtang, and Machhapuchhare. On your return downhill towards Pokhara, you can view the wonderful Begnas Lake as it lay motionless from above.  It is a short yet meaningful trek giving you the taste of the traditional mountain lifestyle of Nepal.

Royal Trekking in Annapurna is a secluded one as there are fewer crowds of visitors than other short trekking routes. The Royal Trek is also famous for cycling through the silent trails of the forest. You can appraise the entire nature and enjoy the scenic views and traditional lifestyle in solitude. Royal Trekking is the right trek for you if you greatly want to have a moment with nature alone and enjoy the cultures in private. The route is surely an easy one, sweat-less and yet memorable. After you feel close to nature in the remote area, on your return to Pokhara, you can re-establish yourself with people and enjoy the city life with varieties of finest cuisines and accommodation. Himalayan Monk Travels & Treks organizes Royal Trek for you to make it your life experience. Remember us for this trek and other Trekking like Mardi Himal Trek, Round Annapurna Trek, Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, ABC Trek and many more in Annapurna Region.

Travel season

The trip is accessible all around the year, but it is reasonable not to travel during the monsoon season of Nepal which falls between June to August. The muddy trails might hamper your trekking and cloudy days are not enjoyable as it hides the essence of the Himalayas. Royal trek route is also safe during winter since it does not rise too much high altitude. The winter days are sunny but cold and chilly during nights till dawn. It would be a good season to enjoy the moment alone.

Spring and autumn are the best seasons to trek in Nepal. During these months the weather is clear with greenery surrounding and clean vistas. Spring season (March-May) bring out the vibrant color of Nature. The forest and trail are lively with many types of flora and fauna enjoying the warm season after the harsh winter.
