Day 1: Arrive in Yoga Meditation Retreat center

Accomodation

You will stay in the room provided by the retreat center within its building. The rooms have comfortable beddings with side table and attached bathrooms. All the rooms are on sharing basis but it can be supplemented with single rooms. The rooms are also designed to repel insects with the netted windows and doors, easy to clean and disinfect carpets and fresh towels and linens. The bathrooms have solar powered pipeline and western-style toilet.

The rest of the building is also neatly designed with a peaceful ambience of the surrounding forest and beautiful lake. The yoga and meditation practice hall has everything you will need to make your yoga journey smooth and comfortable. 

Meals

All meals as well as snacks during your stay in the yoga center is purely vegetarian. You will be provided 3 times meal per day during the retreat program with free coffee or tea anytime during the day. The retreat center has its own small orchard where fresh vegetables are grown every day.

Travel season

Yoga is independent of any season all year round. It can be practiced in any season and all season. You will gain some benefit of practicing yoga in any season as certified yoga guru teach you to improve your immunity through yoga and meditation.

Day 1: Arrive in Yoga Meditation Retreat center

Yoga Meditation center nearby the Begnas Lake can be reached after driving for about 40 minutes from Pokhara city (16 Km east of Pokhara).  First, you can check into your room and freshen up. Later, you can walk around the center to view the beautiful Begnas Lake and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. You can also go for swimming or boating in the Lake.  Stay the night in your room and rest your body and mind for yoga for the next day.

Day 2: Introductory yoga and diet instructions

The morning consists of a welcome and introductory class for yoga. You will be introduced with your personnel retreat guide who will also provide you with the finalized itinerary chart for yoga. The guide will explain favorable behavior/ conduct from the disciples who take the yoga class and begin with some basic yoga practices along with chanting mantras.

Throughout the day, you will be guided with the lifestyle which is simple and healthier from the yogic perspective. It is also important to look into your diet which will help to detox your body. You will receive tips for a healthier diet from your yoga guide. The day will also have meditation sessions, question and answer sessions and more yoga sessions.

Day 3: Yoga instructions and breathing control

The yoga instructor will guide you with every yoga steps, mudras and mantras.  Your yoga instructor will also guide you with some yoga steps that would be beneficial for your health as per discussion and observation by the instructor in earlier day. You will learn more yoga poses and its benefits throughout the day.

This day also includes learning some breathing techniques. As simple task as ‘breathing’ can be distressing and uncomfortable at first, but with continuous practice, it is a proven way to reduce stress, clear the mind and body. Meditation along with yoga has a greater effect to detox negative energy from your body and mind.

Day 4: Yoga instructions and chakra balance

You will slowly be able to grasp the advantage of the yoga steps you have been practicing. Your body becomes more flexible and you feel lighter. The instructor will help you with your practice and make recommendations.  There is also be more discussion sessions about your experience and problems in your lifestyle.

This day will focus on balancing your energy in the body. It is also known as life-force of the body or chakra in Sanskrit. You will be guided through varieties of yoga and meditation techniques to balance these energy centers that are required for a healthy and energetic body.

Day 5: Departure

On the final day, you can feel a positive energy, a new sense of perspective of life, and a new relation with yourself. You can take tools (video copies, charts, booklets, etc) that could be used in your daily life to practice yoga and meditation. You are in control of yourself, and hence creator of every new day ahead.

You can also use the day to explore around the retreat center. You can take a peaceful walk in the forest along the lake or hike up the hill to a small traditional Nepali village. Later, return to Pokhara or Kathmandu and stay the night in the hotel on BB basis.
