Trip Indroduction
Dhampus village trek is another short trek from Pokhara that takes you through popular viewpoints like Dhampus, Sarangkot, and Naudanda. It is a loved destination especially by visitors with limited but enough time to take a short hike to witness some of the spectacular natural views of Nepal. Dhampus village is inhabited by the friendly people of Gurung ethnicity where you will get many chances to be involved in their daily household chores and experience their lifestyle.
Similar to other short treks from Pokhara like Panchase Short Trek, Sikles Short Trek and many others; Dhampus village Trek is an uphill climb for few hours. The trail is lively with amazing scenes of nature along with an encounter with wild birds and animals. In this trek, you walk through terraced farmlands, rhododendron forests and few villages throughout the path. The backdrop of the Himalayan range through the entire trek is a spectacular moment. From Dhampus village, you can also get an amazing view of sunrise and sunset over the snow-capped mountain ranges. Some of the Mountain ranges visible from here are the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhare.
The Dhampus village is located over a mountain ridge from where you can get magnificent views of the valleys as well as the towering snow-capped mountain peaks. Here you can also interact with the friendly locals and learn to do the household chores the traditional way. In addition, you can also extend the dhampus village trekking to travel to Sarangkot to get some extraordinary scenic views of sunset and sunrise over the Himalayas. Himalayan Monk Travels & Treks is always with you to prepare you for any challenges and will accompany you throughout your trekking in Nepal.

Travel season
The trip is accessible all around the year, but it is reasonable not to travel during the monsoon season of Nepal which falls between June to August. The muddy trails might hamper your trekking and cloudy days are not enjoyable as it hides the essence of the Himalayas. Trekking to Dhampus during winter is also safe since it does not rise too much high altitude. The winter days are sunny but cold and chilly during nights till dawn.
Spring and autumn are the best seasons to trek in Nepal. During these months the weather is clear with much green surrounding and clean vistas. Spring season (March-May) bring out the vibrant color of Nature. The forest and trail are lively with many types of flora and fauna enjoying the warm season after the harsh winter. Autumn (September-November) is also a cool season to travel as the environment is fresh after the showers. The scene of the Himalayan mountain range is also a crystal clear view. Trekking during this season is neither hot nor cold, making it a pleasant and relaxing journey in the countryside environment.
