Trip Indroduction

Poon Hill Yoga trek is similar to Poon Hill Trek; instead, there is more emphasis on practicing yoga in the serene environment of the mountains rather than just being inspired by the discoveries through the trail. Every day you will be provided with yoga congenial vegetarian meals and you will practice routine yoga, guided by our skillful masters. Yoga training includes invigorating mantra chanting, meditation, and spiritual philosophies.  In no time you will feel your body as light as a feather after the adaptation that you make with the routine. The yoga trek through the pristine forests, magnificent valleys, and grand Himalayan Mountains inspire you to further the spiritual awakening that you have experienced. Poon hill Yoga Trek is always a good idea for your vacation in Nepal because it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.

The Poon hill Yoga trek-route is just to the south of Annapurna Base Camp that falls under Annapurna Region Trek. The trail varies from beautiful rhododendron forests, tranquil valleys and mountains and breathtaking, high rising Himalayan Mountain peaks. Some of the amazing mountains you can view through the trek are Poon hill trek, Machapuchhare, Annapurna South and Himchuli. Throughout the trail of  Yoga Retreats in Nepal, you can view the gorgeous snow-capped mountains above the hills and valleys and the view becomes clearer as you reach higher elevations. From the Poon Hill (3210m) you can get a panoramic view of all the Himalayan mountain ranges. After a 1 day hike from Poon hill, you will reach hot water spring at Jhinu dada. During your stay in hot spring area, you can take a bath in natural hot water pond,  meditate on the bay of glacial river Modi.

Day 1

Pokhara arrival & check into the hotel.

Briefing about the Program.

Day 2

Drive to Pokhara – Tikhedhunga (3 hrs drive), Night at Ulleri (3 hrs trek).

Morning Yoga & Evening Meditation.

Day 3

After Breakfast Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani. (4 hrs Trek).

Morning Yoga & Evening Meditation.

Day 4

Early Morning Hike to Poonhill ( 1 hrs)  Back to hotel & trek to Tadapani (5 hrs)

Morning Yoga & Evening Meditation.

Day 5

After Breakfast  Trek to Jhinu Dada (5 hrs trek), Night around Hot Spring Pond. 

Morning Yoga & Evening Meditation.

Day 6

After breakfast free time on your own. 10 am- Drive to Pokhara in local sharing jeep. (4 hrs)

Morning Yoga & meditation in Modi riverside.

The evening followed by a farewell dinner.

Day 7

After breakfast transfer to the Airport/bus station.

Accomodation

Great food and comfortable sleep is a must to stay healthy for trekkers. We have ideal accommodation plans in both the city as well as while we are on treks. We will stay at the Hotel Kumari Inn/ Hotel Island / Hotel Dahlia or similar in Pokhara. Whereas The Poon hill trek is a famous trial, But it has no big hotels but simple & clean guesthouses. In this route, the tea houses and guest houses provide simple rooms with necessary comforts. Most of the tea houses at lower elevations have the western type sitting toilets, but as you elevate through the trek, the houses are more traditional types with squatting toilets, mostly placed outside the room.

Meals

In is Package 3 foods will be provided in a day as per your choice. The provided food will be Vegetarian.

The hotels in the city provide both authentic Nepali cuisine and international cuisines (continental, Italian, Tibetan, Indian, etc). There are also various types of restaurants and hotels that you can find all over the city to explore your liking. Whereas, the lodges and tea houses in the countryside provide simple and traditional dishes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided from the tea house or the lodge during the trek but while in the city hotel, only breakfast will be provided.

Since this is a yoga trek, you will be provided with healthy, organic vegetarian food prepared well under the watchful eyes of our guides.  The vegetarian food is encouraged during the yoga practice because eating meat is considered ahimsa or committing violence, which then negatively affects the energy of the body and inhibits the body from achieving the deep state of meditation.

Travel season

Regarding Yoga Trek, Himalayan Monk has 2 schedules in a year for yoga trek in Nepal, One in the second week of March & another in late September. Each year we have 6 Night 7 Days program with different places. last year we have made Mardi Himal Yoga Trek. This year we have Poon hill- Jhinu, hot water spring Yoga trek,  on September 29-05 Oct, 2019. Climate for March 2nd week and September last week is the best trekking time in Nepal.

Day 1

Pick up from Airport/ bus stop  &  Check into hotel. Evening a short discussion regarding yoga trek along with the instructor.

Includes: Hotel transfer. Best Deluxe hotel in Lakeside Pokhara on Double sharing basis. Dinner. One professional trekking guide with professional yoga & meditation instructor during yoga trek.

Day 2

Drive to Pokhara – Tikhedhunga (3 hrs), Night at Ulleri (3 hrs trek).

Evening, 5-6 pm - Mantra chanting and guided meditation. Dinner at 7.30 pm.

Includes: Breakfast, local jeep Transport till Tikhedhunga, Lunch, Dinner & Guesthouse accommodation in sharing basis.

Day 3

After Breakfast Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani. (4 hrs Trek)

Morning, 6.30-7.30 Yoga. Evening, 5-6 pm -  spiritual philosophy and guided meditation. Dinner at 7.30 pm.

Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & sharing guesthouse accommodation.

Day 4

Early Morning Hike to Poonhill ( 1 hrs)  Back to hotel & trek to Tadapani (5 hrs)

Morning yoga at Poon hill & evening, 5-6 pm - yoga nidra and guided meditation.

Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & sharing guesthouse accommodation.

Day 5

After Breakfast  Trek to Jhinu Dada (5 hrs trek), Night around Hot Spring pond,  1 hrs relaxation in a natural hot water pond.

Morning sunrise view with Yoga 6.30- 7.30 & Evening, 5-6 pm - yoga philosophy and guided meditation.

Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & sharing guesthouse accommodation.

Day 6

After breakfast free time on your own. 10 am- Drive to Pokhara in local sharing jeep. (4 hrs)

Morning Yoga & meditation in Modi riverside. 1 hrs relaxation in a natural hot water pond.

After reaching Pokhara 1 hrs boat tour in fewa lake. The evening followed by a farewell dinner.

Includes: Breakfast, local jeep transport, Lunch on the way or in Pokhara, 1 hrs boating in Phewa lake, farewell dinner, Delux hotel on double sharing basis.

Day 7

After breakfast transfer to the Airport/bus station.
